Site visits in Culion and Coron, Palawan

I got to visit some of our livelihood and fisheries projects in Palawan this week, an area know for its limestone formations and crystal clear blue water.  We started off visiting a seaweed project on Culion Island, formerly the largest leper colony in the world.  And the following day saw some ecotourism and marine protected area work in Coron.

Singapore

Taking advantage of the 3 day weekend for Philippine Labor Day, I decided to visit Singapore for the first time.  It was nice to ride a clean, well-run MRT again, indulge in some hawker fare and microbrews, and dust off the DSLR again.  And the Supertrees at the gardens are some of the coolest and weirdest things I've seen in a while.
