Last week I made my 3rd trip to the Pacific Islands, this time to the biggest country, Papua New Guinea. After a quick stop in the capital, Port Moresby, we flew up to New Ireland Province, one of the outer islands, for site visits to coastal communities receiving assistance under our climate change adaptation project.
Here is a quick close up of the sites that required a boat to access, including our hotel. Most of the communities main impact from climate change is lack of potable water, so the project will be providing rainwater capture systems for community use.
