Shanghai and Sichuan

It was rainy, foggy weekend in Shanghai through which you could barely make out the skyline.

Luckily the skies cleared (for a while) over in Western China in Sichuan as we attempted to climb one of the four peaks of the 4 Girls Mountain.  Sadly, after spending the night at basecamp (14,200ft) following an 18km hike, our 3am departure for the summit put us in rain once again.  The rain quickly turned to snow and fierce hail as we approached 15,000 ft around 6am and given the conditions and the lack of a view, we were forced to abandon the summit attempt and head back down the mountain.
