I got to spend Thanksgiving in a cold, colorful Japan. Luckily the trip coincided perfectly with the fall foliage peak in Tokyo and Kyoto, so it was a nice return to red leaves and cool temps after 4 years without a proper autumn.
After a day in Tokyo it was off to Kyoto via the Shinkansen. I'd ridden it when I was in Japan 10+ years earlier, but it was still equally as cool.
We did an excellent 10 course Thanksgiving dinner complete with fall foliage as a garnish and a festively decorated bathroom sink in Kyoto.
Mt. Fuji
Always excellent when you can map out your trip to the toilet ahead of time
