While the Philippines has some spectacularly beautiful islands among its 7,107, the archipelagic nature of the country can make it extremely difficult to electrify all the islands and the communities residing on them. Verde Island in the middle of the Verde Island Passage is just one example. Through a partnership, the island will soon have more solar capacity to reduce their dependent on diesel generators. We made a quick day trip down to Verde Island for the official groundbreaking of the project.
